Google review rules: what's allowed (and what gets your profile suspended)
Incentives, review gating, employee reviews, QR and NFC: a clear guide to Google Business Profile policies.

Three golden rules
Real experiences from real customers; no money, discounts or gifts for reviews; no discouraging or filtering negative reviews (review gating). Asking, reminding and facilitating are allowed.
Is asking via QR/NFC allowed?
Yes. Google explicitly encourages reminding customers and provides a short link for it. A card opening that link is a physical reminder — as long as it goes to the official form and is offered to everyone.
Review gating: the most common mistake
Sending only happy customers to Google violates policy since 2018. InfinityFeedback does the opposite: the Google button is always primary for everyone; Insta-Resolve is an extra option, never a filter.
Incentives and contests
Forbidden: 'review us and get a coffee'. Allowed: thanking afterwards; discounts for all customers regardless of reviews (like our friend code, tied to purchase, not to reviews).
Employees, relatives, competitors
Conflicts of interest cannot review. Attacking competitors is forbidden. Flag suspected fake reviews with documentation.
If your profile gets suspended
Check name, category and address consistency, remove keywords from the name, submit the reinstatement form with documents. Keep collecting feedback meanwhile: the card link can be changed from the Owner Area.
